The dazzling orange

Orange is the colour of warmth and happiness. Orange is the national colour of the Netherlands. In India, saffron a variant of orange is associated with sacrifice, and enlightenment. In china, it is associated with transformation, and love.

In response to the weekly photo challenge, I’m presenting you the three pictures portraying orange in three different shades, and three different scenes: the orange sky, the orange fields, and we, the people staying between the other two.

If you’ve never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom. ~Terri Guillemets

While in Keukenhof, we were mesmerized by the tulips, but it wasn’t just the tulips that caught my attention. The white flowering trees, also known as Prunus triloba, lined on the sides of the alley were a sight to see. These blooming trees enhanced the beauty of the spring garden.

Orange Tulips

Tulips belong to the genus Tulipa. The orange ballerina is the best variety of orange tulips. These stunning flowers would certainly add to the beauty of the garden.

This is one of the photos from the Keukenhof collection. Tulips thrive in cool springs and dry summers. Is there any chance they might thrive in Mumbai? I wanted to grow them in my garden back home.
