Dialogue is the conversation between two or more people. It is one of the best means of communication. Do pictures speak? I like to think they do. Sometimes, they show us different perspective, sometimes, the difference a subject makes by its presence or absence, like the sun who makes an immense change in the atmosphere and our moods by its mere presence. At times, all they do is show action without the need for any words. The pictures not only speak to each other, but also to us.

An enchanting evening

Enchanting Evening

O it is pleasant, with a heart at ease,
Just after sunset, or by moonlight skies,
To make the shifting clouds be what you please.
~Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Mesmerizing nature, calm evening air, and camera in my hands cheers me like nothing else can.

Gorilla in the green

Gorilla among the greens

Here’s a Glimpse of Gorilla in the Green Grass. At a Glance, he might look Grumpy, but he is a Great Guy.

This is a photograph taken at Rotterdam Zoo. Whenever, I visit the zoos, I wonder if we would have liked to be contained to a fraction of earth if some other species had dominated this planet. In spite of inhabiting major part of the earth, we aren’t satisfied. We still fight for every inch of land and resources. Instead of being thankful to Mother Nature, we abuse her.  We need to reconsider our behaviour and turn towards nature. It’s time to go green before it’s too late.

Around the windmill

WindmillThe windmill of Sloten is located in the outskirts of Amsterdam. This mill is open to the public and you can see the exhibition ‘Amsterdam and the water’ which illustrates Amsterdam’s relationship with the sea. In the Coopery museum, you can see how barrels are manufactured.

Near the windmill is restaurant Syriana which offers a Syrian Lebanese kitchen, and a wonderful ambiance. The Lounge is decorated in the style of ‘Thousand and one Nights’ and there are performances by a belly dancer. The best part for me was that there are many vegetarian options.

A traditional dutch windmill, a museum, restaurant with good food and entertainment, and the mesmerizing nature around, this place is definitely amazing.

If you’ve never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom. ~Terri Guillemets

While in Keukenhof, we were mesmerized by the tulips, but it wasn’t just the tulips that caught my attention. The white flowering trees, also known as Prunus triloba, lined on the sides of the alley were a sight to see. These blooming trees enhanced the beauty of the spring garden.

Yet another shot from my flight collection. I love clouds, don’t you?

Whenever I look at the sky, I feel the energy to rise. It’s like the sky is encouraging me to dream, the clouds beckoning me to fly alongside . There isn’t any limit to our aspirations just like the sky, unless we ourselves chose to put those limits.

Fantasies may seem Far-fetched and Fanciful but they are Fabulous. Be it the Fairest maiden with her Fashionable clothes or other Flamboyant characters with their Fancy dresses, they are Frightfully Funny. Fables of the Faraway lands Fascinate both Fools and the wise. No wonder Fairy tales are everyone’s Favourite.

Fairy tale

The best part of childhood is listening to fairy tales at bedtime, and believing them. Growing up we may not believe in fairy tales but we don’t stop wishing for a world where good people always win, and there is a happy ending for everyone.

What is your favourite fairy tale?

An illusionist who is making a lady float

Amsterdam RAI, one of the largest conference and exhibition centre, is located in Zuidas district of Amsterdam. Europaplein, the square facing Amsterdam Rai has got six enormous scupltures adding to its beauty.

The bright sculptures painted in Aluminium have been specifically created for the entrances of Europaplein by the artist, Guillaume Bijl. Guillaume Bijl is an internationally renowned Belgian installation artist. The sculptures create a wonderful contrast with the industrial buildings. These statues display characteristic features on popular culture.

Happy Independence day India! Jai Hind !

Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes. – Mahatma Gandhi

According to me, freedom is to be yourself, be free from any fear or compulsion.

Freedom is the wind below a bird’s wings, the joy of the heart, and the spirit of the ocean.

What is Freedom according to you?

E is for an Enchanting Evening

“WHAT is this life if, full of care,We have no time to stand and stare.”

-W.H. Davies

After, a whole day of slogging through the work pile staring at the computer screen, I finally get to stand and stare in the evening. When I look at the nature around me: the sunset, the lights, the peace, I feel relaxed. There’s nothing like a dose of nature to calm your nerves.

What helps you relax after a long, tiring day?
